Wildflower Fields Forever

I have been absolutely enchanted with gardens ever since I was a little girl. My grandmother, who was instrumental in my upbringing , was a florist by trade and an avid gardener. We would spend hours on end at City Park. On extra special long weekends we would make the drive an hour outside town to visit even larger rural gardens. There wasn’t a single stem, flower, butterfly or even insect that she did not know by name. She taught me to respect all life and to walk through gardens the way you might walk through a museum, stopping every so many feet to stare in adoration of nature’s newest seasonal installation.

This year I was lucky enough to catch the Cosmos Wildflowers bloom before their gallery closed. You can find patches of wildflower heaven as well as blooming tulips and so many other beautiful blooms at City Park.
